Were You Born Out Of Wedlock?

Were you born out of wedlock? If so, did you know it brings you under a curse?

Scriptures for Today

The descendants of Ishmael are still under a curse.

Genesis 16: 11-12

Hagars conception of Ishmael by Abraham. And the angel of the Lord continued, See now, you are with child and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael (God hears), because the Lord has heard and paid attention to your affliction. And he Ishmael will be as a wild ass among men, his hand will be against every man and every man’s hand against him and he will live to the east and on the borders of all his kinsman.

Genesis 19: 30-38 AMPC

Lots daughters got him drunk and slept with him because they had no husbands. V30 and Lott went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him, for he feared to dwell in Zoar; and he lived in a cave, he and his two daughters. The elder said to the younger our father is aging and there is not a man on earth to live with us in the customary way. Come, let us make our father drunk him with wine and we will lie with him, so that we may preserve offspring (our race) through our father. And they made their father drunk with wine that night and the older went in and lay with her father; and he was not aware of it when she laid down or when she arose. Then the next day the first born said to the younger, See here, I laid last night with my father; let us make him drunk with wine tonight also, and then you go in and lie with him, so that we may preserve offspring (our race) through our father. And they made their father drunk with wine again that night and the younger arose and lay with him; and he was not aware of it when she laid down or when she arose. Thus both the daughters of Lott were with child by their father. The older pour a son, and named him Moab (of a father); he is the father of Moabites to this day. The younger also bore a son and named him Ben-ammi (son of the people); he is the father of the ammonites to this day.

Tamars conception of Pharaz and Zarah by her father- in- law Judah,
Genesis 38: 1-30

At that time Judah withdrew his brothers and went to (lodge with) a certain Adullamite named Hiram. There Judah saw and met a daughter of Shuah, a Canaanite; he took her as his wife and lived with her. And she became pregnant and bore a son, and he called him Er. And she conceived again and bore a son and named him Onan. Again she conceived and bore son and named him Shelah. (They were living) at Chezib when she bore him. Judah took a wife for ER his firstborn; her name was was Tamar. And Er, Judah’s firstborn was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord slew him. Then Judah told Onan, marry your brothers widow; live with her and raise offspring for your brother. But Onan knew that the family would not be his, so when he cohabitated with his brother’s widow, he prevented conception, least he should raise up a child for his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the Lord; therefore he slew him also. Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, remain a widow at your fathers house until Shelah my (youngest) son is grown; for he thought, least perhaps (if Shelah should marry her) he would die also, as his brothers did. So Tamar went and lived in her fathers house. But later Judah’s wife, the daughter of Shuah, died; and when Judah was comforted he went up to his sheepshearers at Timnath with his friend Hirah the Adulllamite. Then it was told to Tamar, listen, your father-in-law is going up to Timnath to shear his sheep. So she put off her widow’s garments and covered herself with a veil, wrapped her self up (in disguise), and sat in the entrance of Enaim, which is by the road to Timnath; she saw that Shelah was grown and she was not given to him as his wife. When Judah saw her, he thought she was a harlot or devoted prostitute (under a vow to her goddess), for she had covered her face (as such women did). He turned to her by the road and said, Come, let me have intercourse with you; for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. And she said, what will you give me that you may have intercourse with me? He answered I will send you a kid from the flock. And she said, will you give me a pledge (deposit) until you send it? And he said, what pledge shall I gave you? She said, your signet (seal), your (signet) cord, and your staff that is in your hand. And he gave them to her and came into her, and she became pregnant by him. And she a rose and went away and laid aside her veil and put on the garments of her widowhood. And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand; but he was unable to find her. He asked the men of that place, where is the harlot or cult prostitute who was openly by the roadside? They said, there was no harlot or temple prostitute here. So he returned to Judah and said, I cannot find her; and also the local men said, there was no harlot or temple prostitute around here. And Judah said, let her keep the pledge articles for herself, least will be made ashamed. I sent this kid but you have not found her. But about three months later Judah was told, Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot, and also she is with child by her lewdness. And Judah said, Bring her forth and let her be burned! When she was brought forth, she (took the things he had given her in pledge and) sent (them) to her father-in-law, saying, I am with child by the man to whom his articles belong. Then she added, make out clearly, I pray you, to whom these belong, the signet (seal), the (signet) cord, and staff. And Judah acknowledged them and said, She has been more righteous and just than I, because I did not give her to Shelah my son. And he did not cohabit with her again. Now when the time came for her to be delivered, behold, there were twins in her womb. And when she was in labor, one baby put out his hand; and the midwife took his hand and bound upon it a scarlet thread, saying, This baby was born first. But he drew back his hand, and behold, his brother was born first. And she said, what a breaking forth you have made for yourself! Therefore his name was called Perez (breaking forth). And afterwords his brother who had the scarlet thread on his hand was born and he was named Zerah (scarlet).

Look at their sitting down and their rising up ( their movements, doing, and secret counsel); I am there singsong (the subject of their derision and merriment. (Psalms 139:2; Isaiah. 37:28) Render to them a recompense, oh Lord according to the work of their hands. You will give them hardness and blindness of heart ; your curse will be upon them. One evening David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the kings house, when from there he saw a woman bathing; and she was very lovely to behold. Romans 12 :1-2
I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of all the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies (presenting all your members and faculties) as a living sacrifice, holy, (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fastened after and adapted to it’s external, superficial customs), but be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind (by it’s new ideals and it’s new attitude), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect (in his sight for you).

Galatians 3 :13

Christ purchased our freedom (redeeming us) from the curse (doom) of the law (and it’s condemnation) by (Himself) becoming a curse for us, for it is written (in the Scriptures), Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); (Duet. 21:23)

2 Cor 7:10 AMPC

For godly grief and the pain God is permitted to direct, produce a repentance that leads and contributes to salvation and deliverance that leads and contributes to salvation and deliverance from evil, and it never brings regret; but worldly grief (the hopeless sorrow that is characteristic of the pagan world) is deadly (breeding and ending in death).

The bastard curse causes many spiritual, emotional, and psychological issues. Chief amount are the following:

Shame, guilt, abandonment issues, fear, rejection, orphaned, self hatred, double mindedness, feelings of not fitting in, difficulty establishing and maintaining relationships, feelings of always feeling defeated in life, always having to fight harder in life than others. Feeling like you continually fall short. Struggle feeling frustrated because you can’t get ahead. Desperate for things to change but, they never do. Feeling stuck in the same place no matter what you try and do. Can’t feel Gods love, or see him working in your life. It feels like everyone is against you.

Prayer;

Father God, I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I repent of any and all sinful behavior in my own life and/or in the lives of my ancestors for past 10 generations that have opened the door to this bastard curse in my life and in the lives of my descendants. In the name of Jesus, I placed those sins under the blood of Christ shed a Calvary. I asked, Father, that you would forgive and cleanse me and my lineage of this destructive curse. I thank you, Father, that I can now come freely into the congregation of the Lord and have close fellowship with You and with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I thank you, the Father, that you now consider me Your legitimate child worthy of your discipline, I asked, Father, that you would help me to overcome the negative habits that have been embedded in my soul as a result of living under this horrific curse. I thank You and I praise You in the name of Jesus Christ for delivering me and setting free my descendants of his bastard curse. I thank you, Holy Spirit, for filling my life with the blessings of Your fellowship and the fellowship of the Saints. Amen.
