Our Spiritual Inheritance Part 3; Legacy
We are finishing up our three part series discussing the Inheritance of Christ. This week, we talk about legacy. What legacy are you leaving for your family? Where does God want you to invest the time you have been given?
Scriptures from this Episode:
Psalm 12:1-2
“Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone; for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man. Everyone utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.”
Proverbs 13:22
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children…
Ecclesiastes 5:18-19
“Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot. Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.”
In 2 Kings 8, we see the Shunamite woman come to petition the king for her land and her possessions to be returned to her. The seven-year famine was over, she was returning to the land, and she had hoped that what had been rightfully hers would be restored—this was her inheritance, her legacy.
Matthew 9:36
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”
Proverbs 3:5
”Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Job 12:13
“With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.”
