It's a New Day, Shift Your Focus
We all have days where some are harder than others. Where wounds and heartaches seem as though they will last a lifetime, but deep down, we need to realize that God intended for us to be victorious over our situations.
Truth is we are made in His image, and He has a plan for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
What we choose to focus on will take root and grow, whether good or bad. So I ask you today, where is your focus? What are you allowing to grow that has taken root? Seeds of worry, fear, anxiety, bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, resentment this is to name a few. What makes you not want to get out of bed in the mornings, making you question how life could go on?
I am not exempt from this: I have been there. We are wondering how on Earth could I even take another breath to want to live in the hell that I have allowed to overtake me? Despair and loneliness is a horrible place to be. Have you ever wondered, God, where are you? You feel so far away if only you would rescue me.
I have felt like that many times, and God has had to remind me continually that it is in my trust and faith in Him that I will find peace through my storm. We get so caught up in our circumstances that we lose focus on the problem solver. We are allowing our fears and circumstances to dictate our lives and become more significant than God.
What you focus on you will magnify. We will never know God's plan for our life if we choose to stay in the bed of self-pity. It is time to shift your focus and turn your day around without allowing the enemy to control you like a puppet any longer. You have control of your day, take authority over the lies of the enemy, and kick him out.
Get excited that today is a new day. You may have been like that yesterday, but you are choosing not to stay there any longer. Speak positive over your situation, forgive where you never thought you could and love like you have never loved before. It is all a choice, and no one can make it for you but you. Be blessed and know that you are not alone: God is fighting for you.
